She Calls Me

She calls me

By Shah Bisma Manzoor

Alone i lay, in a warm winter night
a whisper, near my ear, like a sniff i hear.
Was it just a gust of wind or just a hallucination?
Ignoring, i carry on to be ready to take a nap.
My mind, unable to sleep, visualises the lost moments.
My heart, extending a hand, wipes the tears streaming out.
Hugs my anxious mind and consoles the scars.
But quietly, it weeps and washes it’s own wounds.
Again! A sniff i hear close to my ear.
This time alert and active, i listen to the whisper.
It, very silently, screams and holds me by hand
Through dense foliage, it takes me along.
There at a distance, i see someone donning white
appearing a fairy from a fairy land, smiling gracefully.
Ah! my heart melts as I move nearer and nearer
My feet try to catch the pace of moving wind
And there!
she, whispers, my heart flew to call you to the mountains.
my body is gone, my spirit still awaits you
I see!
She calls me from above .
